Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Transfer to Daragaon

After a short interaction with our representative at Bagdogra or NJP, you will be transferred to Daragaon, a hamlet surrounded by luxuriant forest and the vibrant orange orchards. Perched on a hilltop, Daragaon provides a scenic view of Kanchenjunga and the main attraction of it is the ancient Daragaon Bungalow.

Reach your predestined homestay at Daragaon after a joyous journey of 4 hours. Freshen up in the hotel room and have some rest. Come out for nature walking in the remaining day. After being served a delicious dinner, overnight stay at Daragaon.

Day 2

Transfer to Reshikhola via Pedong

Get ready for Reshikhola transfer on day 2 of your Silk Route Tour Package for 5 Nights 6 Days. On the way to Reshikhola, relish the charm of Pedong, a small village in the Kalimpong District of West Bengal. One of the ancient sites in the District, pedong Monastery and Damsung fort are some of the major attractions of the village.

Resume your journey towards Reshikhola again after the memorable sightseeing at Pedong. Reach the homestay and check into it. While taking rest, have gossips with your dear ones or check the photos which you have captured at Pedong. In the evening, indulge yourself in Village Walking. Finally, overnight stay at Reshikhola.

Day 3

Transfer and Sightseeing at Aritar

Aritar Transfer is scheduled on the Day 3 in your Silk Route Tour Plan for 6 Days. Have a light breakfast and then proceed towards Aritar with our friendly driver. Reach your desired homestay after covering a distance of just 14 km. Freshen up and get ready for sightseeing in and around Aritar.

First, visit Aritar Lake aka Lampokhari Lake which is one of the oldest as well as the serene lake in Sikkim. The next sightseeing phenomena will be Aritar Gumpa, one of the ancient monasteries in the entire Sikkim. Later, religious sites like Mankhim Temple and Rai Temple can be visited respectively.

Get back to the resort again, as the sightseeing attraction successfully ended for day 3. Spend the evening by listening to some legends from the local villagers. Have dinner in the night and stay overnight at Aritar.

Day 4

Transfer to Zuluk

Get ready for a memorable and adventurous journey towards Zuluk. But in the middle of your journey, pause to relish the beauty of some of the renowned sightseeing attractions of Silk Route such as Rongli, Lingtham, Quokhola Waterfalls, Padamchen, etc.

The first one to explore is Rongli, a fascinating mountainous settlement in the silk route region. After getting the Inner Line Permit (ILP), enter Rongli and relish the beauty of the snaking Rongpo river. You can even shop at Rongli Bazar if time permits. Visit Lingtham Next. It is an attractive village situated at an altitude of 5000 feet. Here you can relish the beauty of the snaking Bakhuter Khola River, charming weather of the valley and also the two splendid adjacent monasteries. Another hilly settlement just about 4 km away from Zuluk, lastly visit Padamchen. Enjoy the tranquillity of the village, inhale the oxygen-rich air while walking through the lush alpine forest and trek to the nearby viewpoint to behold a jaw-dropping view of the Mt. Kanchenjunga.

Continue your drive again towards Zuluk as you are done to soak in the natural beauty of these above-mentioned sightseeing places. Have rest in the predestined homestay after reaching there quite comfortably. The remaining day can be spent by strolling around the settlement or by communicating with the local villagers. Spend the night at Dzuluk.

Day 5

Zuluk Sightseeing and Gangtok Transfer

Zuluk is truly a travellers' delight in the entire Silk Route Region. Hence after breakfast, proceed for full day sightseeing by beholding a radiant sunrise at Lungthung aka Ganek View Point. Visit Thambi View Point to get an astonishing panoramic view of the surrounding and then Nathang Valley to enjoy the impeccable serenity of nature.

Built in the memory of Baba Harbhajan Singh, you will also visit Old Baba Mandir. The temple is built and maintained by the Indian army. According to the legends, Harbhajan Singh is still doing his duty even though he was martyred during Indo-China War in 1962. You will also be visiting Kupup, one of the highest altitude lakes in the entire Sikkim. Locally known as Bitan Choo, It is one of the most sacred lakes in Sikkim and offers a splendid view of the surrounding mountains along with its glimmering water body.

You will be transferred to Gangtok next. Reach there within a short span of 3 hours after covering 90km. Now take some rest. Spend the evening at leisure or by strolling around the iconic MG Marg. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 6

Drop at NJP or Bagdogra

This is the last day Silk Route Tour Package for 5 Nights 6 Days. Hence, get ready to check out from the hotel and start the rebound journey to NJP or Bagdogra. On the way, behold the photographs which you have captured during the tour. Reach after covering approximately 120 km of driving distance. Tour ends with a plethora of sweet memories which can be cherished forever.

The places included in this package i.e. Daragaon, Zuluk, Aritar and Reshikhola are quite popular offbeat locations surrounding the Silkroute circuit. The type of accommodation mostly found here are homestays with basic facilities like electricity, comfortable beds, and western washrooms. Food served here are mostly home-made with not many options. However, both veg and non-veg meals are available. But in Gangtok, varied range of hotels are available with each having multi cuisine restaurants and few of them have bar and spa facilities.
Yes, permit is required to visit Silkroute. All Indian Nationals are required to submit a photocopy of ID proof and their passport size photograph in order to avail the permit. At Zuluk Tour, we will assist you to arrange the permit for Silkroute Tour. Please note that foreign Nationals are not allowed to visit Silkroute.
There are standard category vehicles like Sumo or Bolero which are easily found in Silkroute. Apart from standard vehicles luxury SUVs like Scorpio or Xylo is also found but less in number as the road conditions are not appropriate for luxury vehicles.
