Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Transfer to Icchegaon

Upon arrival at your desired station or airport (NJP or Bagdogra), you will be first greeted by our smiling representative. After then, he will assist you to get transferred to Icchegaon. Falls under the Silk Route Region, Icchegaon is a peaceful village in the Kalimpong District of West Bengal. Situated at an altitude of 5800 ft. above the sea level, Icche Gaon offers a captivating view of the mighty Kanchenjunga.

Reach Icche Gaon after covering approx 90 km of road distance within 4 hours. Freshen up after checking into your homestay. You are completely free for the rest of the day to stroll around the village or explore the nearby village by trekking through the several trekking trails. Evening at leisure and after being served a delicious dinner, overnight stay at Icchegaon.

Day 2

Transfer to Reshikhola

Wake up early and have breakfast as it is the day to have a thrilling journey towards Reshikhola, a pristine valley situated on the bank of river Reshi. Surrounded by Luxuriant forest and several mountain peaks in the backdrop, the village provides a complete serenity which lures travellers to escape from their hustle and bustle of city life.

Reach Reshikhola after a journey of 2 Hours and covering approx. 39 km of road distance. Freshen up at your homestay and have some rest. Rest of the day is all yours to do whatever you want. Indulge yourself in nature walking while inhaling the pollution-free air, enjoy angling and bathing in the shimmering Reshi River. In the evening, return back to the homestay. After dinner, overnight stay at Reshikhola.

Day 3

Transfer to Zuluk

Day 3 of our Silk Route Tour Itinerary will be all about having a thrilling journey towards Zuluk. After spending a memorable night at Reshikhola, wake up early in the morning, have breakfast and checkout from the homestay to start an onward journey towards Zuluk. The journey in itself is going to be a quite exciting one as you will come across a plethora of sightseeing places. In the middle of the journey, you will get to see Quokhola Falls. It is a 100 feet waterfall on the way to Zuluk and the cascading water of it is really a visual treat to the eyes. You will also visit Rongli, a small yet vibrant village surrounded by lush greenery. Rongpo river crosses through the heart of the valley providing a peaceful charm to the mind of the visitors. However, you need an Inner Line Permit to visit Old Silkroute which needs to be arranged from Rongli.

Next visit Lingtham, a picturesque hamlet situated at an altitude of 5000 feet above the sea level, quite known for its shimmering river Bakhuter Khola, pleasant weather, two magnificent monasteries and peaceful ambience. Your next destination is Padamchen, a hilly settlement at an altitude of 8000 ft. and just 4 km away from Zuluk. The pleasant weather, a mesmerizing sunrise, numerous Himalayan birds flying in the sky and the breath-taking view of the mountain peaks makes it a worth exploring hamlet during your Silk Route Trip.

After exploring all these sightseeing places, you will finally reach your homestay at Zuluk. Now check-in and freshen up to have some rest. After spending some time at leisure, wander around the village and return back to the homestay in the evening. Have dinner and overnight stay at Zuluk.

Day 4

Zuluk Sightseeing and Transfer to Rolep

Wake up early in the morning and eat light breakfast as it is the day to have a short excursion to Zuluk. First, visit The Thambi View Pont. Settled at an altitude of 11000 ft, it offers to see a majestic sunrise looming over the mountain peaks. Next, visit Gnathang Valley. Situated at an altitude of 13500 ft, Gnathang offers a peaceful ambience and breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding. The nearby temple and a Buddhist Monastery are also there to explore.

Later of the day, visit Jelep La, a mesmerizing Pass located at an altitude of 13, 999 feet. On the way to the pass, visit Old Baba Mandir, a temple constructed in the memory of the renowned Indian Soldier named Baba Harbhajan Singh. You will also get a chance to visit a breathtaking Lake named Kupup. Located at an elevation of 13069 feet, this green emerald lake is truly a waterbody of paradise because of its offering of scenic surrounding and tranquil environment.

After exploring all these sightseeing places, return back to your homestay, freshen up and start a journey towards Rolep. Located in the Eastern Part of Sikkim, Rolep is all about lush greenery, gushing waterfall and rivers which will certainly rejuvenate you during your silk Route Tour. After covering approx. 45 km by road, reach your predestined homestay at Rolep. Now freshen up and take rest. You are free now to stroll around the village. Finally, after dinner, spend the night here at Rolep.

Day 5

Drop at Bagdogra Airport or NJP

Bid adieu to the fascinating Sikkim on Day 5 of your Silk Route Tour Itinerary. With our skilled driver, start a returning journey towards NJP or Bagdogra. The returning journey is going to be a memorable one itself as you will be accompanied by river Teesta and green lush alpine forest. Stop at Coronation Bridge to see the cool blue water of Teesta. Upon reaching, NJP or Bagdogra Airport, tour ends with countless sweet memories.

No, it is difficult to find a luxury resort or star category hotels in the entire Silkroute sector. The types of accommodation available are homestays run by the local people with basic amenities. However, there are few semi-deluxe hotels that are coming up now a day.
The weather remains quite pleasant in the summer months with maximum temperature of 15 degree Celsius approx and in the winter season the temperature usually goes down to zero or minus.
New Jalpaiguri station is the nearest railway station to reach Silkroute. Most of the cities are well connected with NJP station. If you are traveling by air, you have to reach Bagdogra Airport from where local vehicles are taken to reach Silkroute.
