The Quekhola Falls, also known locally as Kuikhola Falls or Kali Khola Falls is truly a magnificent breathtaking tourist site to behold. Located on the Old Silk Route, halfway between Rorathang and Rongli in East Sikkim, the waterfall is known for its natural beauty. This approximately 100 meters flowing waterfall is surrounded by enormous natural beauty, making it one of Sikkim's most popular and frequented waterfalls. The hypnotic sight of its crystal clear water, crackling from the lush green hills and cascading over the craggy mountain peaks, tempts people on their route to stop and take some wonderful photographs of nature. Because of its remote location, the Quekhola Falls is also known as the Lonely Falls.

By Road: From Aritar the waterfall is just about 1 kilometers driving distance away. A rented car from Sikkim or its neighboring state West Bengal can easily help you get to this waterfall.

By Air: Bagdogra Airport is its major nearby airport which is well connected with other adjacent cities. The distance from Bagdogra Airport to Kalikhola Falls is around 117 km driving distance away.

By Train: NJP Junction is the closest railway station to Quekhola Falls. The approximate distance between them is not more than 11 km via NH 10 and approximately 145 km via NH17 and NH 10.

Best Time to Visit Quekhola Falls

Quekhola Falls is best visited before the beginning of the monsoon season. March to June is considered to be quite a great time to witness the cascading water of Quekhola Falls. Going there in the season of monsoon should be avoided due to the frequent landslides.
