Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Transfer to Daragaon from NJP or Bagdogra Airport

Upon reaching New Jalpaiguri Junction or Bagdogra Airport, you will be received by our friendly representative. He will help you to get transferred to Daragaon, a pictorial hamlet about 15 km away from the heart of Kalimpong. The village is popularly known as the “Balcony of Kanchenjunga” because the snow-peaked Mount Kanchenjunga looks quite astonishing from here.

After reaching Daragaon, freshen up and take rest in your hotel room after a long hectic journey. Rest of the day is all yours to wander around all the nearby sightseeing places. Overnight stay at Daragaon.

Day 2

Transfer and Sightseeing at Aritar

On 3 Nights 4 Days Silk Route Package Tour, you will be transferred to Aritar. Aritar is a captivating settlement in the Eastern Part of Sikkim which is popular for its natural beauty and rich history. Reach Aritar after 4 hours of the thrilling journey.

Take rest for quite a bit. Later, in the remaining day proceed for the sightseeing in and around Aritar. Start the sightseeing excursion by visiting Lampokhari Lake. Also known as Aritar Lake, it is a green emerald lake where boating can be done. Strolling around this serene lake provide a soothing experience to the travellers' mind.

Visit Aritar Gumpa, a fascinating Buddhist Monastery which exhibits numerous artifacts, murals as well as paintings. Other religious sites like Rai Temple and Mankhim Temple can be visited from where the view of Kanchenjunga looks astonishing.
Get back to the homestay again after this successful excursion. Spend the evening at leisure and overnight stay at Aritar.

Day 3

Transfer to Reshikhola

Post breakfast, you will be transferred to Reshikhola today during your 3 Nights 4 Days Silk Route Package Tour. So, wake up early, fresh yourself up and after dinner, start a thrilling journey towards Reshikhola, a pristine hamlet nestled on the bank of river Reshi. Reach Reshikhola within 1 hour and covering approx. 15 km of road distance.

Check into your homestay and freshen up. Rest of the day is all yours to wander around this mesmerizing hilly settlement and relishing the beauty of it. Spend the evening by listening to the song of the cricket. Finally, have dinner and overnight stay at Reshikhola.

Day 4

Drop at NJP or Bagdogra Airport

This is the last day of your 3 Nights 4 Days Silk Route Package. So, wake up early to have breakfast. Then, get ready to start the returning journey with our skilled driver. Reach your desired station or airport within 4 hours while being accompanied by river Teesta, luxuriant alpine forest and the iconic Coronation Bridge. This is how the tour ends but after gaining lots of sweet memories.

The places included in this package i.e. Daragaon, Aritar and Reshikhola are quite popular offbeat locations surrounding the Silkroute circuit. The type of accommodation mostly found here are homestays with basic facilities like electricity, comfortable beds, and western washrooms. Food served here are mostly home-made with not many options. However, both veg and non-veg meals are available.
The best time to visit is from March to May when the weather is quite pleasing. Although a visit to these places can be planned in the winter months but if one is not accustomed to bone chilling cold, then it might be a problem to adjust with the cold weather.
